The Neglected Mountain by Malcolm Saville is number seven in the Lone Pine series which features the Lone Piners travelling round most of Shropshire in pursuit of some missing dogs.
The neglected mountain was the name Jenny Harman gave, one Easter, to the grim, even sinister, rocky ridge known as Stiperstones, which had already formed the background for two of the Lone Piner’s adventures and was to provide them with yet another.
Mary Cadogan, who knew Malcolm Saville well, has written a brand new introduction on the book. John Allsup has provided the publishing history and has also written an introduction on the location.
