The Camp Mystery

Author: Elsie J. Oxenham

Publisher: Girls Gone By

Date: 2006

Pages: 269

Format: Paperback

Description

This book, while being connected to three different Oxenham series, is also a great stand-alone adventure and school story.

Rosalind, John, and Gina Firth are on vacation when they meet the boys and girls from two Swiss schools on the shores of Lake Annecy, and end up camping out with them. Astrid, Guly (Billy), Peter and the rest become involved in an adventure almost immediately involving important business papers and information that Peter's Dad is working with and trying to bring safely to America, and the mystery becomes more exciting when the young Cecily Brown (known in later Abbey books as Cecily Perowne) turns up at their camp.

Later in the story the Guide patrol from Gina's old school (Crisis in Camp Keema, Peggy and the Brotherhood) coincidentally turns up and befriends the campers and joins their adventure.
