Monica Edwards (née Monica le Doux Newton; 1912 – January 18, 1998), was an English children's writer of the rural, middle-class school which dominated mainstream British children's literature of the mid-20th century. She is mainly noted for her Romney Marsh and Punchbowl Farm series of books, although characters from each series frequently appear in books of the other series.
